Larry always pushed us to be the very best at all that we did and in turn, made us all much more effective and profitable salesmen ourselves. Working for Larry was like business boot camp, not always the easiest, but I can safely say that he taught me good business practice, work ethic, morals, and character.

Larry Shy is the owner. If that's even his real name? They hire people on as "customer service" reps who are told they will be answering phone calls for an hourly rate. When all is said and done, you are not paid for those days as promised. If you ask to be paid, Larry Shy will swear, cuss and threaten you, claiming he's busy. If you ask for written contracts they will cuss and act busy and pull every scam to avoid paying you for the work you've done.
If you choose to sell vacuums, they tell you that your first sale you will make dollars! It's BS.. That would be fair, if they gave you the contract prior to you doing the work? They lock the door for the meeting room early so you are technically late or pull many shady scams to ensure that you work for free. They hold contests where you can win a day off for your good work. Then they take away bonus checks because you took that day off? Every shady, unethical trick in the book Shy Enterprises and Larry Shy are on it.

It worsened over time to the point of my entire linen closet smelling like the garbage Kirby bag. Oh-guess what? You are also told not to store the vacuum in the closet! We don't all have laundry rooms to accommodate that monster of a vacuum and I am certainly not going to leave it in a bedroom or living room. I told the sales reps that I did not want to deal with cover-up tablets sprays etc. It basically smells like dirty feet and lemons. Again, I was assured multiple times throughout the night that this would not happen because of the Kirby quality bag.
I brought up my concern about older Kirbys having an odor and was also told that the new design would prevent any odor as well. I have contacted Shy Enterprises and was spoken to in a condescending way by all staff except Emily. The same for my husband. I was told that nothing verbal counts-only the receipt matters. Then I was told that I should bathe my dogs more often because I probably don't realize that my entire house has an odor-of course he stated that he didn't mean this to be insulting.
Again-this does not resolve the issue. This company uses deceit to sell their product. We will take further action as their practices violate consumer protection laws.
I bought a Kirby from Shy Ent. I wouldnt be without it.. I even stopped in one time around pm after I got off work hoping someone would be there because i forgot how to put the head back on the Kirby to vacuum. A lady answered the door and said they were closed. I told her I drove all the way from Adrian an if she could please help me fix my Kirby, she let me come in and took the time to help me.

Well I would have gave a great review but I needed to return my kirby I wasn't sure what was needed to do I called 4 times the day I would not be charged my name was taken down and said I would be called back before 5 nobody got back to me the 5th time I called someone finally answers a day late so I'll be charged btw and simply all the lady could say was we don't deal with cancelations it's on your contract what needs to be done I bought my Kirby from Shy Enterprises Inc.
The office staff is pleasant and helpful, and any time I have ever had a problem or concern they have gone above and beyond to help me. Very happy to be a loyal, and long time customer.
Thank you. I have 3 days after the sale to return the Kirby and Cancel my transaction without any Penalty or Obligations. I did this 2 days after. I did use the Kirby as well as the person that sold it to me used it in my home and the neighbors home. So it was used by me and the saleman.
THis is Poor service on them. The Kirby is not broken and all the pieces I have returned. I should recieve all of my Deposite from them. She had nothing to say except that I was making her boss mad and she had to hang up with me when I was trying to get answers out of her and I was a bother to her.
So please stay away from this company and from what I have googled they are known for there poor Customer service.
