Why do i get size mismatch on cydia

The day before yesterday, I tried to download a tweak from Cydia that was suggested by my friend. If there is an error, there has to be a solution! So, my friends who are facing the same problem that I faced few days ago have a good news. Let me explain you the problem more in a practical manner, so that you would understand it much better. Suppose you are trying to download a tweak that is showing the size as kb but the actual size of the tweak is greater or lesser than kb.

As there is a variation in the actual size of the repo, you will be unable to proceed further. In such a case, you should look for the contact details of the repo owner in the tweak page. Once you have the contact details, share the problem with them and request them to rectify it. Seldom, it happens that the problem is not in the size, but in your iDevice. Step 5: Turn on the VPN. Do you know that WiFi stands for Wireless Fidility?

Step 7: Download the tweak or repo source from Cydia that you were trying to download. So, here you go. This package appeared as I tried downloading the package from all three repos but this same error kept popping up.

All I did was to delete the repository showing a different size for this package and this fixed the issue. If the error is actually caused by discrepancy in listed package size and actual package size, contacting the repository maintainer may be the only solution. You have to refresh the sources at the same time a repository was being synced. Now, it could be that if you refreshed your sources. It is just because of the package that was being updated on the repository.

This is also being hosted from, or it could have just been a network fluke. So, whatever the reason was, your Cydia app now has a corrupted cache. Also, you have to live with it until Cydia can refresh the cache. This is which can take up to 24 hours until the repo refreshes once again. Now, you can actually remove and re-add the affected repository to your list of Cydia sources.

Then this will force Cydia to remove and re-add everything related to that repository. It also includes in the cache, immediately. Now, this will also give you a refreshed Cydia cache, and then it can fix a size mismatch error.

Also, if you get a size mismatch error then it is just like I got this morning from the BigBoss repository. Then after trying to install a free tweak that was just updated. Now, you can easily fix the problem by removing the affected repository from your list of Cydia sources.

You can also add it back to your device so your device can re-load it. The reason is that BigBoss is one of the default repositories in Cydia and not a third-party. This has one that you have added by yourself then it cannot be added to Cydia. It is just like most other third-party repositories are. Apart from these, there is another process to re-add it. In most cases, if the tweak was from the BigBoss repository.
